No matter how great you are at your job, don’t expect other people to notice. They are too busy doing their own jobs and trying to get recognition for themselves. You need to lift your head up above the parapet and do a few things for the recognition you and your team deserve.

During this 3-day LEADWomen training course, you will learn new techniques and tools for getting visibility for your work that is critical to further your career and build personal credibility.

• Understanding the difference between recognition and reward and what people want to be recognised for
• Understanding the psychological and emotional aspects of recognition and motivation
• Understanding what your leaders value most and that you should therefore aspire to
• Uncovering the recognition that motivates your team members to be engaged, satisfied and loyal
• Uncovering the knowledge, attitudes and achievements you wish to be personally recognised for
• Finding a niche you can become expert in that builds personal esteem and respect from others
• Understanding your differences that enable you to see challenges and issues in different ways and that lead to breakthroughs
• Regularly meeting with your boss to share information and ensure they are aware of and value your achievements
• Practising the skill of giving recognition to different personality types
• Creating a culture of recognition within your own team by valuing the achievements of others and saying so in private and public
• Building a network of fellow professionals who know, trust and like you and will give frank and constructive feedback
• Applying for awards within your industry and organisation that you can then publicise
• Volunteering for projects and challenges that allow you to develop abilities outside your current role and draw attention to your potential
